I got to the gym really late today, just about 75 minutes before it closed. I knew I wouldn’t have time for a full warmup run and my leg workout, which is my longest day at the gym, but I also knew it would be a good idea to do some speed work on the treadmill. I decided to once again run my fastest mile since my injury. Treadmill running is pretty different from running on the road, but I ran the mile at 7.0 miles per hour, about an 8:30 minute mile pace. It was exhausting and I was gassed after, but by the middle of the workout I was fairly recovered. I realized one of the hardest parts of running at a faster pace for me is just adjusting and figuring it out.
