Well, we’re officially approaching a year now that we’re in February. My legs actually weren’t sore from basketball, but my upper body was sore from the lift I did after. I’ve started my new split which is more whole body focused, so I imagine I’ll have some upper body soreness for the next few weeks. Today was active recovery day, although I probably went a little harder than a typical day with recovery in it. Ran 2 miles today on the treadmill and it felt pretty good. I definitely got a little bored with my pace, but my stamina isn’t there for a higher pace. My left leg felt a bit funky at some points, but I was careful and it went away by the end. To get a bit more recovery in, I hopped on the stationary bike after my run and cool down, also the first time I’ve done that. I’d honestly say from all the activities I’ve done today I haven’t felt like I had a broken or injured leg, which is really cool.

I started a new workout split when I graduated physical therapy: lower body, upper body, active recovery, lower body, upper body, rest. I'm still figuring out what exactly that will look like, especially the active recovery, but I like that I'll have an active workout day that's not focused on lifting.
