Feb 4 — A New "Easy" While Under the Weather

Feeling a bit under the weather today, so I decided to take it easy on my cardio warm up. I only ran one mile. Which is crazy. If you told me a month ago that I’d take it easy and run only a mile for my warm up because I was feeling a bit congested, I’d laugh. I had barely even run yet, just that first day at my friend’s house. It’s crazy how we don’t always see progress while it’s happening. I remember the first few times I was hoping to run a mile and how I couldn’t; on one of those runs I walked .10 miles in the middle and called the whole thing at .8 miles. Today, when I looked at the treadmill distance and saw that I had run .8 miles, I thought “oh no big deal, I can hit a mile.” It’s super cool to see what the consistency and training is doing, and I’m starting to wonder how long I’ll be able to grow my max distance over the course of this project.
